About Kristin

My name is Kristin Sherrard, and I am a staff writer/photographer for The News-Democrat, a weekly newspaper in Carrollton, Ky. I graduated from the University of Kentucky in May 2009 with a dual-degree in journalism and business management. At UK, I was a staff photographer for the Kentucky Kernel, UK’s daily student paper, and the editor of The Kentuckian, UK’s yearbook.

On the side, I am also starting up a photography business, taking pictures of weddings, seniors, children, sports and events.
