Greg and I went to the KY State Fair, mostly to check out the booths and look at the incredible cakes! I took some pictures while I was there, nothing impressive, but I just wanted to put my camera back in my hands.
Last year, there was a candlelight ceremony at the Take Back the Night event. I was told that “a portfolio picture could be made from the vigil.” I went, did the best I could, and came back emptyhanded: no photos in the paper. Instead, photos from two other photographers were chosen. Since then, I have tried to do more experimenting with light, so that when I get the opportunity again, I’ll get it.
