UK v. SC

This was my first full UK softball game, both to watch and to photograph. As a former softball player, I really wish that I would have come to a game before now. I kept meaning to, but it was just one of those things. While I took a few softball pictures a couple of weeks ago before I had to be pulled away to finish a story, I would still consider this game to be my first sports photography experience. Overall, they’re okay I guess. I still need to work on focusing and making sure that my settings are right beforehand.

This was a double “pickle,” notice the extra runner in the frame. Explanation: First, the batter laid down a bunt and the runner got caught between third and home, returned safely to third, then the runner behind her got caught between second and third and was tagged out. However, during that time, other base runner decided to make another try for home and finally got caught between third and home, giving South Carolina a double play and out of the inning. I can only imagine what the coaches had to say…
